She leaves a little sparkle wherever she goes
Happy holidays peeps! Today I’m going to be talking all about a brand that makes my heart happy. It’s honestly the one brand that I don’t mind spending a little extra money on because the purses are great quality, and they make me SMILE. Each Kate Spade piece I own makes my heart so happy! The colors, shapes, and patterns are so classy, and when I use them I feel like 1 million bucks.
Kate Spade is hands down one of my favorite brands. It’s more than that though. So many of the quotes and mantras Kate Spade uses are empowering and gives you permission to be human. One of the most popular slogans is “Eat cake for breakfast” another is “she leaves a little sparkle wherever she goes” I love them because to say “Eat cake for breakfast” maybe gives us the permission we need to live outside of the boundaries of what society has put in place as the norm for not only breakfast foods, but it gives us permission to create our own boundaries. Kate Spade empowers us to live life, and not question those things that makes us happy, but to leave a glitter filled trail along our own paths to greatness. Not that eating cake for breakfast everyday is a healthy lifestyle choice, but that you should live a little.
When I started dating my husband he found out how much I loved Kate Spade purses, and last year for Christmas bought me one as a gift. I was so excited I felt as if I would jump out of my skin! It may sound silly to you or even exaggerated, but I promise you I was on cloud nine! Since Christmas last year I’ve been lucky enough to have added several other beautiful purses to my lovely collection. I love each of them for different reasons. However, the whole point of this post isn’t necessarily to talk about purses, but to talk about why I love the brand so much.
Back to one of the other quotes I touched on earlier. “She leaves a little sparkle wherever she goes”. What would the world look like if each of us left a little sparkle wherever we went. Not literally throwing glitter everywhere cause I’m like 100% sure that would infuriate people. Mostly because cleaning glitter is impossible. What if instead we smiled more, laughed more, and became more inclusive? What about if we took time to share all of the compliments we thought about others throughout the day instead of keeping them in our minds for fear of potential rejection, or making someone feel strange. What if we committed to making this world a better place one interaction at a time. Sharing the light of Christ that exists in each of us.
Now I know this idea of changing the world can feel a little daunting, but if every single one of us left a little bit of sparkle wherever we went, this big gigantic world would look more like a disco ball, and you really can’t go wrong with a good disco ball! But even more so the task of making a difference all of the sudden becomes a little more manageable for you and me. This Christmas season let’s commit to leaving a little more sparkle, because this my friends is the kind of glitter you don’t need to clean up. It hopefully from there gets paid forward, and before you know it you’ve shared 200 smiles by proxy! This year let’s light the world! May your love for others glow even brighten than your Christmas tree🎄 happy holidays everyone. Thanks for reading.
Below I wanted to share a few pictures from my Bridal shower earlier this year. My sisters in law put together the most beautiful Kate Spade themed shower, and I feel like it fits in perfectly with this post. Enjoy!!!
